The Washington DC International Wine Festival (WWF) is a two-day wine tasting event for both consumers and trade. This event is the most comprehensive indoor wine event in the Mid-Atlantic and attracts visitors from 33 states with the majority coming from Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
The WWF attracts approximately 4,000 consumers and 1,500 trade, and the affluent audience tends to have an interest in the finer things in life. Consumer demographics from 2011: approx 16% report income of $175k or more, 55% have degrees, 60% female and 40% between 26-35 years old. In 2010, attendees were given the opportunity to purchase wine sampled at the event (onsite).
