Prospect Vineyard
Prospect Vineyard is a producer of high quality grapes with a focus on sustainable production. The vineyard is owned and managed by Chris and Catherine Howell and situated just out of Bridge Pa on Maraekakaho Road in Hastings. The vineyard covers 12.5 planted hectares in mainly Bordeaux reds, Chardonnay and Semillon. The first vines were planted in 1995 and the site has full frost protection and irrigation. Soil types are predominantly Ngatarawa and Takapau sandy loams.
