The philosophy at Nga Waka Vineyard
is to produce wines which reflect the specific character or "terroir" of the
vineyard and the intensity and depth of flavour typical of Martinborough wines. Processing is kept to a minimum and any
winemaking intervention must complement rather than dominate the flavours from the
vineyard. Wines are generally fermented dry for full expression of varietal and regional
style. Flavour, balance and aging potential are the key components of this approach. A
winery reserve is being established so that customers will be able to buy wine that has
been carefully cellared and aged. |
