In recent years, praise has been mounting for the increasing number of vibrant, world-class and regionally distinctive examples of New Zealand aromatic white wine.
Alongside Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris, which make up the majority of aromatic wine plantings, there are a number of of other varieties that are excelling in New Zealand conditions. These include, but are not limited to, Viognier, Arneis, Verdelho and Grüner Veltliner.
