Black Estate is a remarkable place for wine. A family owned vineyard on the slopes of the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The vines grow through clay and limestone soils to produce intense wines completely expressive of their sites. Our wines are hand crafted as naturally as possible to make Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling from three separate hillside vineyards within 10km of each other. We're in conversion to organics. Our Tasting Room & Eatery is a stunning spot to enjoy our place and view the Waipara Valley and mountains beyond.
