The Searle's vineyard at Brunton Road is home to both the family and to their wines. Hand tended vines managed in a 100% sustainable manner are the basis for these elegant, fruit driven wines. Brunton Road is located in the warm climate of the Patutahi Plateau in Gisborne and their range of wines consist of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Gewurztraminer and Merlot.
Their first wines were produced in 2004 after Richard Searle and his wife Kirsten returned from oversees to live on the family vineyard which was originally established by his parents Philip and Margot in the 1990’s.
