In 1997 Terry Peabody and Steve Smith developed Craggy Range with an aim to create single-vineyard wines – wines that are true expressions of the vineyard’s terroir and to make the greatest wines in the land. No small goal and one that is not achieved without considerable effort.

Craggy Range is New Zealand’s premier producer of single vineyard wines from multiple wine regions throughout the country. Each wine is unique to its site producing wines that reflect not only the character of the vineyard and the maker, but also the unique weather and cultural aspects found within each region and vintage.
