  • Pinot Noir
  • Pinot Gris

Maori Point is named for Maori goldminers who panned for gold in the 1860’s and before that it was a stopping place on the Greenstone trail between Otakau and Haast. The fast-draining glacial gravels on the bank of the Clutha river force vines to send deep roots to find moisture, while mulching with fragrant herbs and flowers gives them balanced nutrients. Vines put their energy into producing low volumes of intensely flavoured grapes producing dark coloured full-flavoured wines. ”Bloody and raucous” is a London reviewer's description of our gold medal 2008 Pinot Noir.
