We have been converting to organic wine for almost three years and will be fully certified with Biogro in March 2011, being the first vineyard in our area to do this.
Grapes used for winemaking can be subject to up to fifteen various chemicals and pesticides, making them one of the most sprayed crops. Not enough people are aware of this.
Turanga Creek believe organic wine tastes better. Organically farmed vines produce more concentrated wine that is lower in alcohol and retains more of its natural acidity.
