Te Mara Estate is a celebrated boutique vineyard, its London-based Kiwi owners Janiene Bayliss and David Pratt have gained a reputation for understanding their complete vineyard environment and applying that to the seasons. It is this attention to detail that has seen all their vintages win major international awards.
Te Mara’s grapes are hand-picked. The Pinot Noir is open fermented, hand plunged and matured in French oak. The whites, Pinot Gris and Riesling are cool fermented in to keep the fruit flavours. Each vintage, a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is specially selected to complement the style produced by the estate grapes.
