Tresillian Estate is the dream and passion of (Chartered Accountant) Heather Anderson and (Life Insurance Specialist Broker and Analyst) Graeme Lindsay, as fugitives from Mission Bay in Auckland’s eastern suburbs. It comprises an 8 hectare vineyard situated some 22km west of CBD Christchurch at West Melton.
Tresillian is named after the 10,000 acre sheep Run No. 37 that was called Tresillian by its second owner, Mr. Charles Reed in 1854, after his home village in Cornwall, England.
The cool climate extends the ripening period, allowing Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris to ripen fully, producing elegant wines.
