Woollaston Estates produces high quality, distinctive wines in Nelson, New Zealand's sunniest region. A gentle and natural approach is taken during the growing of grapes and making of wine, allowing the fruit to fully express the place in which it was grown. Characters defined in the vineyard are subtly enhanced in a four-level gravity-fed winery, built into the hillside with a 'living roof' of tussock and shrubs. The vineyards and winery reached organic certification through BioGro NZ in March 2011.
