Hawkdun Rise is a small vineyard planted in 1994 and is set amongst the rolling hills a short distance from the Central Otago townships of Alexandra & Clyde.
The Hawkdun Rise philosophy is quality rather than quantity, and this has paid off with their first vintage produced under John and Suzanne’s guidance — winning a silver medal in the 2007 Air New Zealand Wine Awards. They have carried on to winning Silver & Gold Medals with all there vintages.
The guest accommodation looks down over the vines to the distant Hawkdun Ranges from which the property takes its name.
