The Air New Zealand Wine Awards is New Zealand’s premier wine competition, recognising excellence in winemaking.
The competition is owned and organised by New Zealand Winegrowers, the national organisation for the country's 1,600 grape growers and winemakers.
In October 2017, a panel of 26 top wine experts, including judges from Australia, the USA and the UK, will sniff, swirl and taste their way through over 1,400 wines.
The top wines tasted will be awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold Medals, with the very best wines receiving Trophies.
Every year Kiwi wine lovers eagerly await the results of the Air New Zealand Wine Awards to help them with their selection of quality New Zealand wine.
