Wines from North to South

This evening we are proud to offer a selection of over 140 wines, spanning 33 varieties and styles from Albariño to Tempranillo, and sparkling to dessert. We hope you enjoy this outstanding showcase of New Zealand’s 10 wine regions from Northland to Central Otago. Every table will have five different wines to try, and we encourage you to share your drops with your peers. You are also invited to sample the wines available from the side of the room, where you will find a full complement of the regional wines, alongside wines provided by this year’s Tonnellerie de Mercurey Young Winemaker of the Year Finalists. An enormous thank you to our members who provided their wines tonight, it is wonderful to reflect our unique wine regions and celebrate the industry together.

Celebrating genuine Canterbury hospitality, tonight's menu has been carefully curated to represent the region and its outstanding produce.  

ENTRÉE

Oak-smoked, soy-cured Akaroa salmon, puha, red chilli jam, green chilli bavarois, charcoal and cucumber salad (df)

Wood-roasted lamb, hummus, smoked tahini yoghurt, harissa oil, faro tabbouleh, flat breads and sumac

MAIN

Sustainably and responsibly sourced Fish of the Day with salsa verde, potato crème, dehydrated olives, zucchini, lemon, smoked almonds and chilli (gf)

Ashburton beef cheek with truffle pommes purée, toasted grains, roasted onion skins, jus and fried sage

DESSERT

Eton mess with rhubarb gel, cream, Black Doris plum ice cream and thyme meringue (gf)

Hazelnut brûlée, chocolate soil, dehydrated berries, freeze-dried manuka honey and salted caramel (v)

SIDES

Rosemary pretzel rolls and organic sourdough loaf with butter

Peas, seasonal greens, olive oil and toasted walnuts with buttermilk dressing and smoked oil

Note: All courses will be served on an alternate drop basis. If you have provided us with specific dietary requirements, your meals will be served separately.
