New Zealand. Naturally. Trade and Media Tasting
New Zealand leads the wine world with regard to its certified sustainability program (Sustainable Wine Growing New Zealand, https://www.nzwine.com/en/sustainability/) with 98% of all production certified as such under what may very well be the world’s most demanding and comprehensive program. Sustainability is an essential part of the New Zealand culture and a means to allow future generations to enjoy the riches of this clean green land.
Be sure to RSVP and meet the following winery principals in attendance:
Astrolabe Wines Owner Arabella Waghorn
Loveblock Winemaker Kim Crawford
Please RSVP below to reserve a space to join us to learn about New Zealand's wine sustainability as well as organics and biodynamics and to taste the results of these efforts in the wines presented.
Active members of the wine media and trade only. You will be asked to provide proof of your business affiliation and ID at check-in.
Thank you to our sponsors for this event - JF Hillebrand, O-I New Zealand, and Antipodes Water Company
Seminar
The tasting will be preceded by a seminar with tasting that will delve deeper into the theme of sustainability, organics, and biodynamics in New Zealand wine at 11:00 am.
This session will include an animated and illustrative discussion with Elaine Chukan Brown of Hawk Wakawaka Wine Reviews and Kim Crawford of Loveblock Wines digging into how these approaches to winegrowing are practiced in the vineyard and winery.
Seats will be limited. If you would like to apply to attend please e-mail [email protected] and indicate 'Request to Attend September 18 Seminar' in the subject line.
