Ben McNab - Wairarapa, Palliser
Ben is a passionate winemaker who loves both the creative freedom and science of making wine. Ben studied viticulture and wine with EIT and since gained experience working in various roles within our industry.
He is now Assistant Winemaker at Palliser Estate where he is thrilled to work with fruit from 6 special vineyards. He is most excited by Chardonnay and is proud to represent his small but very progressive and collaborative region.
Peter Russell - Marlborough, Matua
Originally from Manawatu, Peter began his wine career studying at Lincoln University . He has since worked in Europe, the Americas and now Marlborough where he has found a place and work-life balance that makes him excited to start each day. He is a Winemaker for Matua which has helped him develop his winemaking skills as well as meet some amazing people.
Peter recently purchased a small block of Sauvignon Blanc with his partner. They manage it with an eye for sustainability and improving soil health. Although it comes with its challenges it also gives a great deal of satisfaction.
Jordan Moores - Central Otago, Valli Wines
Jordan grew up in Wellington for most of his life before he left for Dunedin to study Microbiology at Otago University. There Jordan gained a fascination with fermentation and environmental biology. Jordan then went to EIT to study a postgraduate of oenology.
After a single vintage in South Africa, Jordan has found himself at home in Central Otago where he enjoys the community aspect, the distinct four seasons, and plenty of idea sharing. He now works for Valli Wine, which he really enjoys.
