Women in Wine

New Zealand Winegrowers supports women in the industry and encourages them to take up roles of leadership and governance.

Women in Wine helps women reach their full potential, step up into leadership roles and encourages businesses within the industry to assess their diversity and inclusion culture.

The Women in Wine initiative was launched in 2017 to help individual women reach their full potential and step up into leadership roles, and to encourage businesses within the industry to assess their diversity and inclusion culture, make changes where necessary to enable women to move into leadership roles.

Women in Wine is for everyone – regardless of gender or role within the industry. All members are invited to participate, join the conversation and build networks.

Connect

Networking provides opportunities to create valuable relationships, share successes and ideas. Regional Women in Wine groups have been formed around the country enabling members to meet regularly and a national networking event is organised annually. The bespoke Women in Wine mentoring programme is also highlighting the benefits and importance of connecting people together.

Inform

Women in Wine provides information and resources to help women upskill and reach their goals, by running educational workshops such as negotiation skills.

Change

Diversity workshops and industry surveys encourage businesses to offer more opportunities for women to progress and step up into leadership roles as they wish
