In 2019 there was an 8% increase in New Zealand wine exports, with total export value now reaching a record $1.86 billion according to New Zealand Winegrowers.

The Rise of Rosé

The New Zealand Winegrowers 2019 Annual Report shows exports of New Zealand Rosé reached 5.195 million litres last year. That is more than double the 2.389m litres of 2017, and nearly 10 times that of 2010, when New Zealand exported 0.559m litres of Rosé.

Participating Wineries announced for Pinot Noir 2021

“The entries are in and what a line-up! Everyone attending Pinot Noir NZ 2021 is in for a slice of Kiwi Pinot heaven.” With those words Pinot Noir NZ 2021 co-chair Helen Masters announced the list of 120 New Zealand wineries that will take part in the prestigious three-day wine event to be held in Christchurch from 23-25 February 2021.

Hawke's Bay wins big at the New Zealand Wine Awards

A Hawke’s Bay Syrah has won the New Zealand Wine of the Year™ Champion 2019 trophy, while a Hawke’s Bay winery has taken out the inaugural New Zealand Cellar Door of the Year Award. Trophies were announced at the New Zealand Wine Awards held in Blenheim last night.
