Women in Wine events around the country are being met with enthusiasm by the New Zealand wine industry.
To date regional events have been held in Central Otago and Canterbury as part of the Women in Wine national initiative, instigated by New Zealand Winegrowers in August 2017. Other regions are poised to launch events over the coming months.
New Zealand wine exports will receive a boost following the imminent signing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). New Zealand Winegrowers warmly welcomes the news that the 11 nations negotiating the CPTPP have completed talks and are set to sign the agreement in Chile on 8 March.
A Marlborough Chardonnay has won the top prize at the 2017 Air New Zealand Wine Awards.
The Isabel Chardonnay Marlborough 2016 won the prestigious Air New Zealand Champion Wine of the Show trophy, as well as the Rabobank Champion Chardonnay trophy, at an Art Deco inspired awards dinner in Hawke’s Bay last night.
Results released today show New Zealand wines have triumphed at the prestigious UK-based International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC). New Zealand scooped not only the show’s top Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc Trophies, but a slew of top medals that included a record number of dessert wines.
