Tasting Climate Change

New Zealand was proud to partner with Tasting Climate Change and take part in the collaborative effort to discuss solutions to adapt and mitigate climate change. The conference ran throughout the month of November. 

Due to climate change, the wine world has to tackle significant challenges all over the world. Organized every two years, the conference gathers the finest international experts who will share their knowledge and good practices on climate change effects in the wine world in order to identify sustainable solutions.

In addition to being a sponsor - Dr. Edwin Massey, General Manager of Sustainability at New Zealand Winegrowers and Chris Archer, Director and Founder at Archer/McRae Beverages spoke at two different seminars.

The Road to Carbon Zero

On Monday 22 November, 2:30pm EST, Dr. Edwin Massey, General Manager of Sustainability, talked about the industry’s goal of being carbon zero by 2050 and the ambitious steps our members are taking to realize this important objective.

On Monday 29 November, 2:30pm EST, Chris Archer, Director and Founder at Archer/McRae Beverages discussed some of the different packaging initiatives that are taking place within the industry as a commitment to our environmental impact.
