Burn Cottage Vineyards unique estate site is in Central Otago’s Cromwell Basin. First planted in 2002, biodynamic principles have been used since inception.
All blocks in the 10-ha vineyard are classified according to soil type and exposure. Vines are predominantly Pinot Noir, with tiny parcels of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner . The vineyard is part of a wider 28Ha farm, which includes highland cattle, sheep, bee-keeping and a small olive grove. Diverse habitats and shelter areas are planted around the blocks.
