If you are interested in applying for the New Zealand Wine “Somewhat Sommit” to be held in Melbourne and Brisbane, please complete the below application form.
Applications close on 22 May 2023. A selection committee from New Zealand Winegrowers and Sommeliers Australia will review all applications.
The “Somewhat Sommit” initiative will give sommeliers and wine buyers a unique opportunity to take part in a deep dive tutorial, in either Brisbane or Melbourne, hosted by New Zealand locals, Stephen Wong MW and Cameron Douglas MS. The "Somewhat Sommit" will cover an in-depth technical New Zealand wine tutorial, seated lunch and conclude with a focussed walkaround tasting of New Zealand wines, also open to trade.
Applicants must be:
- A working sommelier or wine buyer
- Able to attend the session on 5 June in Melbourne or 6 June in Brisbane
- Must have completed at least WSET Level 3 or have equivalent industry experience.
- Must be a current Sommeliers Australia Professional member.
