Key Export Market Update – A Conversation with NZW’s International Team

Please join us on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am (New Zealand time) for an update on the Top 4 export markets for New Zealand wine. Our international team will present the current state of their respective markets including NZ wine performance, and the challenges (“head winds”) and opportunities (“tail winds”) they see for New Zealand wine in 2023/24.

Chaired by Charlotte Read, General Manager of Brand NZ Wine, this Export Market webinar will consist of four 15 minute presentations from our International Market Managers responsible for the US, UK, Australian and Canadian markets. These four markets represent 85% of New Zealand’s wine export volume.

This webinar offers a time efficient opportunity to join our international markets team “live” in one global virtual forum. They are your “24/7 eyes and ears” in-market therefore who better to share valuable insights and intel on NZ Wine and answer any market specific questions that you might have.

For those who may be unable to join the entire webinar but wish to attend a specific market session, the approximate local start times for each session will be as follows:

  1. 8:30 am – Welcome and Overview, by Charlotte Read
  2. 8:35 am – USA, #1 export market, presented by Ranit Librach
  3. 8:55 am – UK, #2 export market, presented by Chris Stroud
  4. 9:10 am – Australia, #3 export market, presented by Catherine Wansink
  5. 9:25 am – Canada, #4 export market, presented by Andrea Backstrom
  6. 9:45 am – Questions and Answers (Q & A’s)

Note that these session start times are approximate and may vary on the day, therefore please join at least five minutes prior to your preferred session to avoid missing the beginning. Also, be advised that China will be covered in a separate webinar held towards the end of the year.
If you have any market specific questions that you’d like to provide in advance of the webinar, please forward these using the link below. Advance questions can then be addressed either during the market presentations or in the allocated Q & A session at the end. In the event that time does not allow for all questions to be answered, any that remain outstanding will be followed up directly by the appropriate International Market Manager.
