We’re inviting UK-based Instagram creators to create a premium, lifestyle-led Reel for #SauvBlancDay for the chance to become New Zealand Winegrowers’ Hosted International Guest at Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand 2027 - including a two-week trip to New Zealand.
The Opportunity
This is a judged, skill-based competition (not a prize draw) designed to uncover a standout UK creator with a genuine love of wine, culture, and storytelling. Your content will help celebrate New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc as the global benchmark, while giving you the chance to be part of the world’s most important gathering dedicated to the variety.

The Creative Brief
Create at least one Instagram Reel that captures your #SauvBlancDay moment. Choose one of the following angles:
Option A - “My perfect #SauvBlancDay moment” - a short, high-quality Reel showing their ideal Sauvignon Blanc Day ritual - place, food pairing, vibe.
Option B - “Why NZ Sauvignon Blanc is the benchmark” - a Reel that links NZ Sauvignon Blanc to place/people/diversity/innovation (without being overly scripted).
Option C – “Why NZ Sauvignon Blanc is more than you think” - a Reel that talks about diversity of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc , showcasing region, sub region, as well as winemaking influences on the taste profile. Can link to occasions for different styles.
Your content should feel premium, responsible and aspirational, with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc naturally at the heart of the story.

How Judging Works
This competition uses a two-stage judging process to ensure quality and fairness:
Stage One – Shortlisting
All entries are scored by New Zealand Winegrowers against:

Storytelling quality
-
Relevance to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

Creativity and originality
-
Responsible, premium portrayal
Stage Two – Final Judging
Shortlisted finalists are reviewed by a judging panel including an independent judge. Finalists may be invited to discuss their storytelling approach for the prize trip.
The judges’ decision is final.
The Prize
One winner will receive a two-week hosted trip to New Zealand, including:

Attendance at Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand 2027 (2–4 February 2027, Marlborough)

A hosted itinerary across selected New Zealand wine regions

Flights, accommodation and meals provided
The winner will be expected to create content during and/or after the trip, in line with their winning pitch.
