Akarangi translates from te reo Maori as ‘vines of the heavens’. A family-owned vineyard and winery, our aim is to produce small-batch wines of the highest standard and a distinctive nature, characteristic of both ourselves and our special little bit of dirt in the Tukituki valley. Our vines are tended and our wines made by hand, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. Wines produced include left and right-bank styled Bordeaux blends, malbec, syrah, chardonnay, riesling and tempranillo.
