This year's Celebration Dinner will be hosted by Te Radar (Humourist. Documentarian. Raconteur.) and Sarah Wilson (GM Advocacy New Zealand Winegrowers).
Be inspired by our future leaders and find out who will become the Young Viticulturist of the Year and the Tonnellerie de Mercurey Young Winemaker of the Year for 2024. A highlight of the evening will be the Young Viticulturist speeches during the Celebration Dinner (note the Fruitfed Supplies Young Winemaker Speeches will be given during the Wine Business Forum, earlier in the day). Recognition at these events is the conclusion of months of effort for finalists in their respective programmes, and awards for various categories will be presented on the night.
The evening is also the industry's opportunity to celebrate inductees of the New Zealand Wine Fellows 2024. They join the group of highly respected and influential individuals who have helped to make our industry the success it is today.
Lastly, NZW is pleased to announce a tourism award will be presented at this year's Celebration Dinner. The Qualmark New Zealand Wine Tourism Award acknowledges the important role that wine tourism plays in New Zealand’s visitor economy. This award will recognise excellence in the visitor experience at the vineyard, from the cellar door to the quality of the hosting. Emphasis will also be placed on the vineyard providing a sustainable tourism experience, across its Environment, People, and Culture, and Community. This year New Zealand Winegrowers is delighted to host the industry celebration events at the iconic Te Papa Museum in Wellington. The Celebration Dinner will include a selection of New Zealand's diverse wine styles, that will be complemented by the best of New Zealand cuisine with Te Papa's newly released seasonal menu.
