At Poderi Crisci, we believe that great wine begins with healthy soil. Our 7.7-hectare vineyard on Waiheke Island is managed using organic and biodynamic principles, with a focus on maintaining healthy soils, encouraging biodiversity and working in harmony with the natural environment.
We take a long-term approach to caring for our land, recognising that healthy soil supports stronger vines and helps our wines express the unique character of Awaawaroa Bay.
Our sustainable approach also extends beyond the vineyard. We grow seasonal produce in our garden, including olives, lemons and other fruit and vegetables used in our kitchen, and produce our own estate olive oil.
By caring for the soil and the wider ecosystem of our estate, we aim to protect the land and its productivity for future generations.
