Winemaker, Alex Perez combines traditional winemaking techniques with state-of-the art innovation. Handpicked, basket pressed, unfined, and using indigenous and selected yeasts, our exclusive wines are boutique, refined, and a true reflection of the vintage and the terroir. Each wine is lovingly crafted with a focus on elegance, subtlety and our unique expression of premium European wine regions of Northern Rhône, Bordeaux, Alsatian and Burgundy. CELLAR DOOR: Our experienced and knowledgable team offer a range of tasting options of our wine and our onsite craft brews from Alibi Brewing Co. Open Thursday to Sunday from 11am until 5pm. Reservations Essential. We offer private and group bookings for wine and beer tastings. ESTATE TASTING: Taste our three Tantalus Estate Wines all grown on Waiheke Island, including the current release vintages of our Pinot Gris, Rosé and Merlot/Cabernet-Franc. RESERVE TASTING: Experience the current release of our flagship Tantalus Estate Reserve range: Cachette, Reserve Chardonnay Voilé, Reserve Syrah Évoque, Reserve Merlot/Cabernets/Malbec Écluse, Reserve Cabernets/Merlot/Malbec PRIVATE TASTING: This exclusive tour starts with a welcome taste of our Tantalus Methode Traditionnelle, followed by two vintages of our Cachette, and three vintages of one of our flagship Reserve Red Wines, all within a private setting.
