Te Mata Estate

Hawke's Bay
Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family owned, producing internationally recognized wines exclusively from its Hawkes Bay vineyards. Under the ownership of the Buck family, Te Mata Estate has grown over 40 years and produce a stunning array of red and white wines. Their wines are known and respected globally, including Coleraine, Awatea, Bullnose, Elston, Cape Crest , Zara and, in 2019, introducing Alma Pinot Noir. Te Mata Estate also produces an Estate Vineyards label, a collection of five varietally designated wines; Merlot/Cabernets, Syrah, Gamay Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and, in 2019, Pinot Noir.
New Zealand’s oldest winery buildings, in continuous use since 1896. New Zealand’s first vineyards to be protected by law. All wines grown in Hawkes Bay, handpicked and made entirely onsite. Five wines listed as FIVE STAR & SUPER CLASSIC in ‘Michael Cooper’s Buyer’s Guide to New Zealand Wine.’
