Te Mata Estate

Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family owned, producing internationally recognized wines exclusively from its Hawkes Bay vineyards. Under the ownership of the Buck family, Te Mata Estate has grown over 40 years and produce a stunning array of red and white wines. Their wines are known and respected globally, including Coleraine, Awatea, Bullnose, Elston, Cape Crest , Zara and, in 2019, introducing Alma Pinot Noir. Te Mata Estate also produces an Estate Vineyards label, a collection of five varietally designated wines; Merlot/Cabernets, Syrah, Gamay Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and, in 2019, Pinot Noir.

VIP Tour & Tasting Visit our vineyards and winery with a private tour and tasting at our cellar door, bookings required $30 per person. Tour our vineyards and winery, then enjoy a tasting of current and cellared vintages of Te Mata wines in a private setting overlooking the estate, bookings required $90 per person.
