We are a bunch of dedicated people growing and making Central Otago wine. Fully committed to an organic approach we grow grapes on several estate vineyards, across the best sub regions in Central Otago, that collectively produce wines of provenance and pleasure alike.
The winery and all estate vineyards, in the sub regions of Gibbston, Lowburn, and Bannockburn, are managed using certified organic practices and reflect a traditional and holistic wine growing ethos that we believe is critical for wines of uniqueness and authenticity.
Great wine, wine that has personality, wine that reflects its origins, is always grown in the vineyard. We have taken this approach at Mount Edward and all that we do is based on this premise.
Our winemaking is traditional, we use natural yeasts and minimal intervention whenever possible with our wines reflecting the vintage from which they came
We look for textural elegance, precision, clarity, and a sense of vibrancy. All inherent characters in the best that Central Otago has to offer.
We believe our wines should at their best express the place where they come from, transparently, whilst at the same time reflecting our house style of winemaking.
